Here's what a front yard can look like when you combine function with a clean, modern aesthetic. We installed a paver walkway using 4x2 limestone pavers set into black star gravel - that contrast between the light stone and dark gravel is sharp, and it holds up well over time without a lot of fuss.

The material choices here weren't just about looks. Limestone pavers are durable, they sit well in the ground, and the black star gravel filler locks everything in place while letting water drain naturally. That's important in a Texas front yard where heavy rain can shift things around if the base isn't done right.

We also finished out the landscape beds with crushed limestone. It keeps weeds down, doesn't need watering, and stays looking neat season after season. The curved bed edging around the tree rings and front beds ties the whole yard together without making it feel over-designed. Simple lines, clean edges.

This kind of xeriscape approach works really well for homeowners who want the yard to look great without spending every weekend maintaining it. No grass to mow in these areas, no irrigation needed for the rock beds, and the whole setup ages well. It's practical landscaping that also genuinely improves curb appeal.
